Bisque is made from clay slip, that is poured into a mold, dried, cleaned and fired in a kiln, to cone 04 about 2,000 degrees. Bisque is ready to paint or glaze. Decorative items can be painted with a nonfiring acrylic paint.Ceramics used for food or drink need to be painted, with a food safe ceramic glaze paint, and be refired in a kiln.
